The condition of the products is checked before the shipment of each order. If, however, a problem is identified, the consumer in accordance with the provisions of article 4 par. 10 of Law 2251/1994 and in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2011/83/EU, which was incorporated into Greek law with Joint Ministerial Decision Z1 -891 (Government Gazette B΄ 2144/30.08.2013), which entered into force on 13.06.2014, may withdraw without reason from the contract of sale of the product within a period of fourteen (14) calendar days, returning the goods to their original condition, without to be charged with any cost, except the return costs. Retail receipt is required for returns.
In addition, we would like to inform you that based on the current European legislation, the responsibility of the products for sale lies with the merchant.
In practice this means that the products purchased by the consumer are covered by a minimum two-year legal guarantee. Therefore, within these two years the consumer has the right, in the event that he considers that a product is defective or does not correspond to the advertised appearance or function, to send the product to the respective trader and then the trader undertakes the verification process or not what the customer says (verification is done either by the store itself or by the manufacturer/importer). In the event that the product proves to be defective due to manufacturing, then the consumer may request repair of the product or replacement of the product or reduction of the price or cancellation of the contract and a full refund of the amount paid. If the product is not found to be defective then it is simply returned to the consumer. Also, in the event that the customer sends a defective product to the store, then he pays the shipping costs himself (it must be stated in the Terms of Use that the costs are borne by the consumer). If the product turns out to be defective, then the shipping costs must be reimbursed by the store to the customer.
In the event that a product is not available but due to a technical error or due to incomplete updating of the online website it appears as available and therefore has been paid for, the store is obliged to return the amount in full without bearing the responsibility of the error.
The refund will be equal to the retail price of the product(s) you purchased and the original shipping costs, if any (excluding additional costs due to your choice to use a delivery or payment method other than the cheapest standard delivery method, which we offer). www.matel-electronics.com is entitled to withhold the refund until it receives back the products or until the consumer provides proof that he sent back the products.
Refunds are made within 14 days of returning the products.
Your refund is made to the same payment method with which you completed the order. In the cases of cash on delivery and bank deposit, you must tell us the account to which you want the deposit to be made. Retail receipt is required for returns. In case of issuing an invoice, the return must be made with a delivery note. In case the payment was made by credit card, the transaction will be canceled and the credit card updated accordingly. In case of return of defective items, you do not bear the return costs. On the contrary, in the case of returning items for personal reasons, the return costs are borne by the customer.
If you wish to return products purchased from our online store, you must notify us in writing to info@matel-electronics.com, marked “RETURN” and indicating the date and number of the purchase receipt. As soon as www.matel-electronics.com is informed of the customer’s wish to exercise the right of withdrawal, it will electronically send a sample withdrawal form to be completed by the customer.
In order to avoid your own inconvenience, we would recommend that you pay attention at the time of delivery of your order to the condition of the products sold and the integrity of their packaging in order to detect any obvious defects or incorrect shipment of products.
